OHIO HAITIAN SOCCER LEAGUE POLICY

 

ARTICLE I: PURPOSE AND SCOPE

 

1.1 The Ohio Haitian Soccer League (OHSL) is a non-profit organization established to promote the sport of soccer among Haitian communities in Ohio.

1.2 This policy outlines the rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the relationship between the OHSL, its member teams, and players.

 

ARTICLE II: LEAGUE STRUCTURE

 

2.1 The OHSL shall consist of a Board of Directors, member teams, and players.

2.2 The Board of Directors shall oversee the overall management of the league.

2.3 Member teams shall participate in the league's competitions and adhere to its rules and regulations.

2.4 Players shall register with the OHSL and participate in the league's competitions as members of a registered team.

 

ARTICLE III: TEAM OBLIGATIONS

 

3.1 Member teams shall:

a. Register with the OHSL and pay the required registration fees.

b. Provide proof of liability insurance.

c. Ensure that all players are registered with the OHSL.

d. Adhere to the OHSL's rules, regulations, and code of conduct.

e. Attend all scheduled matches and tournaments.

 

3.2 Member teams shall be responsible for:

a. Their players' conduct and behavior.

b. Ensuring that their players meet the OHSL's eligibility requirements.

c. Providing adequate medical coverage for their players.

 

ARTICLE IV: PLAYER OBLIGATIONS

 

4.1 Players shall:

a. Register with the OHSL and pay the required registration fees.

b. Provide proof of age and identity.

c. Adhere to the OHSL's rules, regulations, and code of conduct.

d. Participate in the league's competitions as members of a registered team.

 

4.2 Players shall be responsible for:

a. Their own conduct and behavior.

b. Ensuring that they meet the OHSL's eligibility requirements.

c. Reporting any injuries or medical conditions to their team management.

 

ARTICLE V: DISCIPLINARY ACTION

 

5.1 The OHSL reserves the right to take disciplinary action against any team or player found guilty of:

a. Violating the OHSL's rules, regulations, or code of conduct.

b. Engaging in unsportsmanlike behavior.

c. Failing to meet their obligations under this policy.

 

5.2 Disciplinary action may include:

a. Warning.

b. Fine.

c. Suspension.

d. Expulsion from the league.

 

ARTICLE VI: SAFETY AND INJURY PROTOCOL

 

6.1 The OHSL shall ensure that all matches and tournaments are played in a safe and healthy environment.

6.2 Teams and players shall report any injuries or medical conditions to the OHSL.

6.3 The OHSL shall have a concussion protocol in place, which shall be followed in the event of a suspected concussion.

 

ARTICLE VII: INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

 

7.1 The OHSL shall maintain liability insurance to cover all matches and tournaments.

7.2 Teams and players shall be responsible for their own medical insurance.

 

ARTICLE VIII: GOVERNING LAW

 

8.1 This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.

 

ARTICLE IX: AMENDMENTS

 

9.1 This policy may be amended or modified by the OHSL Board of Directors at any time.

 

ARTICLE X: ACKNOWLEDGMENT

 

10.1 By participating in the OHSL, teams and players acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this policy.
